You’re absolutely right about the autism thing. It’s become a sad trend bc mental health shouldn’t be a trend to hop on. One of my four year old twins is showing signs and I don’t want to even get her tested or acknowledge it bc of the stigma now and the amount of people trying to claim they are when they aren’t.

I’m all about acceptance understanding and providing support for the community to help! Why use this platform to offer false hope! I recently learned I have ADHD perhaps more. It helps me to understand why I am the way I was am! I wished I had known when I was doing everything and trying to understand why I was exhausted but I kept going! I am what you would call high functioning ! Never found myself making or falling for a get rich quick scheme! I have worked hard and have had to learn the hard way as I can’t do it the easy way! Whatever that is! 🙏🙏🙏

I do see the trend in it happening, but please remember when it comes to autism, it's a spectrum and some of us genuinely are high functioning. It can very much be hard to spot - especially in females. Which in turn can read to you like someone is lying about a diagnosis they have if you are unfamiliar with them and they aren't showing more obvious signs. For me personally I do not usually come off outwardly as having AuDHD, but I very much do. I'm just good at masking. Idk, the way you worded this was just not it. It feels unfair to us women who do have it and don't necessarily "look it".
