This feels like an old outdated mindset. The way to beat teams with better players is pack it in and defend all day and counter, and pray for luck. that limits your growth as a team. The point now is to develop into having the type of players who can play more head to head with the good countries and you have to emphasize the actual skills to do it.

There is a reality, South America teams where strong back then till the 2000s after that they don’t compete with Europeans except Argentina that was the last 2022 champions. The US has no chance !!!

I agree stylistically, but that Belgium game was simply awful from a basic technical standpoint too. Our defense couldn’t dribble out from the back. Their attackers knew to press us the whole game because we can’t control the ball. Our first touches were awful. It was like pulling teeth just to move the ball around

Please!!! Yes they have better players. Give me a sport the team, most of the time, with better players loses to less talent?? Be realistic. Our Development has to change.
