Frank came in on drums, and when the bass spot opened up, he knew exactly who to call — Dusty Hill, the guy he’d already spent years grinding through Texas clubs with. That mattered. Frank wasn’t recommending some stranger. He was bringing in a bass player he already trusted enough to build a rhythm section around. I was friends with Dusty. He always had the BEST stories...not about the band so much, but his personal life. Still visit and love Chuck and Betty. IYKYK. When I visit my dad at the cemetery, I also visit Dusty. They are neighbors, so to speak 💔

Fandango was one of the first records I remember playing over and over again as a child. Loved it, used to play on an old plastic electric guitar with no strings, looking in the mirror pretending I was Billy.
