@drjoedamiani: 🔥 Pain along the side of your face AND your neck? The problem might be coming from lower down. Your neck, shoulder, and arm contain a dense network of nerves—and irritation around this region can sometimes produce symptoms that don't feel like they're coming from the original source. Here’s what’s happening... ⚡ The brachial plexus is a network of nerves traveling from your neck into your shoulder and arm. When irritated or compressed, it can contribute to pain, numbness, or tingling down the arm. ⚡ Nearby, the cervical plexus supplies areas of the neck and head. Because these structures share the cervical region, symptoms involving the neck, shoulder, and face can sometimes overlap—even though facial pain has many possible causes. ⚡ Tightness around the pec minor and scalene muscles, along with poor shoulder and upper-back mechanics, can increase stress around nerves traveling through this area. So instead of only treating where you FEEL the pain, try addressing the surrounding system. ✅ STEP 1: Open the chest Pull your elbows back, keep your chest tall, and slowly inhale and exhale to stretch the pec region. ✅ STEP 2: Stretch the scalenes Anchor one arm underneath you and work through different head positions while gently tilting away to address different portions of the neck. ✅ STEP 3: Mobilize your upper back Use the foam roller movement (AS SHOWN IN VIDEO) to improve thoracic mobility while activating the muscles that help control your shoulder blades. The location of your pain isn't always the location of the problem. Improving neck, shoulder, and upper-back mechanics may help reduce irritation throughout the region. #NeckPain #JawPain #FacePain #NervePain #BrachialPlexus
