@galactic8cactus: Pregnant mamas, steal this one. 🥹🩵 Pick a body wash/lotion/spray scent you’ve never used before (but do love) and make it your “newborn scent.” Pack it in your hospital bag and use it through those first snuggly weeks at home. Then tuck it away. Months or years later, one smell can take you straight back to that tiny baby on your chest. Scent memory is WILD, and those newborn days go way too fast. 🤍 #pregnant #hospitalbag #thirdtrimester #pregnancytips #newmom
that's me and certain food I ate teddy grahams while in labor makes me remember that

I had to stop using my body wash that I took to the hospital because it reminded me of my first shower post C-section. My partner had to wash me while I held myself up because I couldn’t stand for a long time.

I picked out a certain fragrance for the body wash and lotion that I used on both of my newborn babies. Every time I smell it all I can think about is the newborn stage.

This is so true! When I was having my last baby I took some Lancôme skincare sample tubes with me to hospital never having used it before. To this day the smell of lacome skincare has a visceral effect on me and that baby I had is 26 years old!!

I didn’t have any specific set for birth, but when I was pregnant I had this marshmallow scented face primer, hadn’t used it for almost a year, was putting it on abt a month ago and I could bodily feel the feeling of carrying my baby again and the whole mental nostalgia, after that experience I now only use it on special occasions
