well from my understanding the breaking of the Constitution is treason

Flock gotta go! All it takes is a software update and it will do all the other stuff they claim it isn't doing now

The police in Marysville may be using flock in a responsible way, but that doesn't keep any other agency from not using the data collection ethically

I don't trust any of the numbers either, especially when the government says well we only track xyz yea right...we are just a revenue stream to pad their fat wallet of backdoor money

Too much surveillance. It’s one of the reasons I’m moving out of Marysville and out of Ohio in the coming months.

Seems reasonable on Marysville’s end. I wonder about Flock’s end of it though….history shows that these companies aren’t to be trusted with data.

Privacy does not exist anymore. The government tracks literally everything you do. Where your money goes, where you drive, how long you stay somewhere. It is creepy and scary. They should investigate someone after a crime is committed not before.

This reminds me of the patriot act. It’s how the government works its way into our lives. It starts as a way to keep people safe and then is turned against the people it was supposed to protect.

Why don’t they just use AI to search for plates of criminals and ignore everything else? I haven’t heard anyone address this question.

The marysville police may use that data responsibly however across the country we have seen the feds abusing this data

I truly don’t understand why the flock cameras aren’t a cause for concern to everyone. Anyone could easily hack into any of the flock cameras and track certain license plates. This is supposedly keeping people safe but I’ve heard more negative things about the cameras than positives. They’re used in ways they are not supposed to be used. That’s a concern.

Marysville is super pro flock and ai. they're building a 600 acer data center which is just 1 of 3 that's approved. they people are against it of course but the city has released several statements that they don't care. just look at the city's website

I was surrounded leaving a place of business in Marysville by 4 police cars , The car I borrowed from a friend was identified with a supposed crime at Meijer, after I finally proved I was not the person they wanted for questioning . They apologized and let me go. So be careful letting someone borrow a car or letting someone borrow your car.

What I want to know is how these cameras are reading my plates if the two cameras at the Delaware exit on 33 are facing oncoming traffic where front license plates are not required. You mentioned that MPD does not use the facial ID tools, but how else is this data coming about?

You don't have to be a criminal to be treated like one. Your daily life is tracked, traced, and stored for them to link you as a suspect to a crime committed nearby because your car happened to just drive by that area before or after it was committed.
