On the 9th Day of Christmas I am sending to you… A 9-STEP OBSTACLE COURSE!✨ 8 reformer squats, 7 Bop It & Pull It games, 6 arabesques, 5 wide-legged squats, 4 modified burpees, A 3 km family bushwalk, 2 reverse bridges, and a partridge in a pear tree stretch. 🌳 Today’s challenge is our favourite: Set up a 9-step obstacle course! If you want inspiration, check out our Ninja Course from the Holiday Program, the kids went wild for it. We used: 🩷Monkey bars • block slide • balance beam • bosu jump • hurdles 🩷Under a bridge 🩷Over blocks 🩷stepping stones 🩷And a run back to the start! Obstacle courses are pure magic, kids feel like they’re playing, but they’re building strength, balance, motor planning and confidence every step of the way. ⭐ Why we LOVE obstacle courses: • Gross motor strength • Dynamic balance • Coordination + agility • Sensory activation (vestibular + proprioception) • Core stability • Spatial awareness • Problem solving (“What comes next?”) • Confidence + independence • SO much fun! You can create your 9 steps at home with pillows, tape lines, chairs, couch cushions, boxes, soft toys, or anything you have available. ✨ Elf Challenge: “Can YOU complete all 9 steps without stopping?”
