I worked for a tool push who would make us use spray 9 and new cotton rags to clean the entire rig. He would then white glove check it at 6am once he was done ironing his socks.

My foreman said that once and as a joke i replied “you got time to rhyme you got time to shut the f*** up “ obviously joking and he loved it 😂he thought it was hilarious, I also did go straight for a broom and started sweeping so🤷♂️😂

yeah I miss off too many coworkers with this, I run a cnc later cutter. they see me standing around doing nothing, but my machine may have a 4 hour cut, it's cutting great and my shits clean. im sorry I worked for this position and im good at it. while your welding all day

my biggest gripe about excessive cleaning coming from me the dirt guy, is the huge wet spot where the rig was sitting because of them pressuring washing consistently

i first heard that at McDonalds. Yah it was pointless rewashing already clean things on my PD drilling rig 25 years ago, but how we looked kept our rig busy when most others shut down. (and safety record and efficiency helped)

Coming from a roughneck if I cant eat off the rig floor it’s not fit to hand over to your cross shift that have to finish tripping. A real hand should have enough pride in their rig you’d think they own it. 5 minutes to eat is one thing but the rig is all that should matter when you’re there. Be the best or don’t go
