The minimum wage was $5.15 meaning they could pay their rent with one paycheck on minimum wage and still have 3 more left over, $350 average car payment, groceries were cheaper, everything was cheaper. It’s so annoying when they say “we made less”

In 2016 I had a 2 bedroom apartment w washer and dryer in the unit for 425 a month!! I paid rent, electric, and WiFi. Insane.
