i am a high performer and a maximalist. but i have learnt through 2 burn outs that high performers receive only more work. so i stopped to be proactive. i am not volunteering anynore, not PSing anymore how to improve things, in fact sometimes i make mistakes on purpose or delay to complete tasks. so they do not consider you "reliable who can take anything". in the end you receive the same paycheck for both...
