There are more than enough apps & websites to keep people busy every day learning political map boundaries, geographic features (rivers, mountain ranges, etc.) flags, and every other thing related to geography. It's one of the best means of understanding diplomacy & conflicts imo. When you know what natural resources are where, it starts to make a lot more sense why who is interested in which place to press its aggressively in some way. Sheppard Software is one of my favorite ones to learn from. Kinda old school in its design but incredibly effective.
