Our company uses Cintas and demands we wear their uniforms. The employees have to pay for the uniforms. The uniform “rental” is $19.09 a week. $19.09x52 weeks is $992.68. I’ve worked there 6 years. That’s $5,956.08. It’s ridiculous. 5k buys a lot of shirts and pants.

Uniform companies are a rip off, we literally installed the washer and dryer in the shop.

we have our own uniforms. We (the shop) paid for them. Everyone gets 1x FXD hoodie (super rugid and last 2-4yrs depending on the person), 5x shirts (polyster/spandex active style), 5x FXD pants, they can wear shorts if they want but we dont provide them (nobody really wants them). They all wash their own clothes at home. But that was a decision we made together. I offered a washer dryer and soap to run whenever they want while at work and they get paid 1.0hr a week to do laundry, OR i buy really nice top end work clothes for them and get logos on them and they wash them at home and get 1.0hr flate rate a week pay for "Laundry".. we also keep the fridge stocked with their fav drinks (rockstar, coke, pepsi, pediilyte, water, etc) and misc chips and snack bars.. take care of your employees, pay them well, listen to what they want or need within reason and they will take care of you. its a partnership, you need eachother.

Was in that industry for over 25years. You wouldn't believe all the angles they play. Much like most garages. There are good and bad ones on both sides.

I won’t pretend to know your business but I’ve seen a video about paying a bill late monthly and now not seeing increases in billing and just signing. Sounds like you need someone that handles this stuff. A finance person of sorts.

It's not just uniform companies who do that. I've seen it from cell phone companies and car insurance. They give great prices for new customers and slowly raise the price as you stay with them longer.

keep an eye on your locked in cable bill they keep your cable bill the same but they increase the fees for your equipment as a way around it

I work for probably the only industrial laundry in central Florida that works off of a hand shake. We tell our customers face to face if there’s an increase. You don’t like or service or product, we shake hands and part ways.
