Tuy nhiên, than không chỉ là nguồn tài nguyên tạo nên sự thịnh vượng của vùng đất, mà còn là biểu tượng của lịch sử, bản sắc và tinh thần kiên cường đã được hun đúc qua nhiều thế hệ. Công trình “RESORT INTERCONTINENTAL QUẢNG NINH – MỎ THAN” hiện diện như một khối than lặng nằm sâu trong lòng đất – thô mộc, âm ỉ và chứa đựng chiều sâu của thời gian. Lấy cảm hứng từ hành trình lao động của người thợ mỏ, resort gợi lại nhịp sống nơi hầm than tối sâu, nơi con người lặng lẽ đi qua bụi than và bóng tối để giữ lấy ánh sáng, niềm tin và sự sống đầy đủ hơn Hành trình bắt đầu từ cổng hầm mỏ và nhà đèn – nơi người thợ nhận ánh sáng trước khi xuống lò, tiếp nối qua những không gian lấy cảm hứng từ đường hầm, vỉa than, xe goòng và các lớp địa chất. Không chỉ là một khu nghỉ dưỡng, công trình còn là nơi kể lại câu chuyện về than, về con người và về vùng đất Quảng Ninh. Thông qua không gian, resort góp phần gìn giữ ký ức của vùng Mỏ, tôn vinh tinh thần Đồng tâm và lan tỏa những giá trị văn hóa địa phương bằng một hình thức trải nghiệm mới, nơi du khách vừa nghỉ dưỡng, vừa cảm nhận được chiều sâu lịch sử và bản sắc của vùng đất này. However, coal is not only a natural resource that has contributed to the development of Quang Ninh. It is also an important symbol of the region’s history, culture, and strong spirit. “INTERCONTINENTAL QUANG NINH – COAL MINE RESORT” is inspired by a piece of coal deep underground — rough, dark, and full of memories. The resort tells the story of the miners and their journey into the mine. It represents the journey from darkness to light, from hardship to a better life. The journey begins at the mine entrance and the lamp house, where miners received their lamps before going underground. From there, the spaces are inspired by mine tunnels, coal seams, mining carts, and layers of the earth. The resort is not only a place for relaxation, but also a place to tell the story of coal, the miners, and Quang Ninh. Through its design, the project aims to preserve the memories of the Mining Region, honor the spirit of solidarity, and introduce the local culture to visitors in a new way.
