@newstodayinuk: Can you get PIP for Type 1 diabetes? The answer might surprise you. Having Type 1 diabetes does not automatically qualify you for PIP** — but you could potentially receive PIP if your diabetes or its complications cause difficulties with specific daily living or mobility activities. In this video, I explain when Type 1 diabetes may qualify for PIP, what the DWP actually looks at, why your diagnosis alone isn't enough, and the importance of explaining how your condition affects you in real life. I also cover examples such as managing medication or treatment, preparing food, washing and dressing, communicating, going out and managing journeys — depending on how your condition affects you. If you have never come across my videos before then I talk about Uk benefits, how to beat the cost of living crisis in the uk, and how to get Uk discounts. Watch until the end for a simple example of how two people with the same diagnosis could have completely different PIP awards. #PIP #Type1Diabetes #PIPClaim #canyougetpipfordiabetes #uk

Awaiting tribunal date. I’m my daughter’s appointee. She was on high rate for both. Come renewal and awarded nothing. Joke. She has severe mental health issues because of it and autism

I've just won an 18 year battle with the DWP. and I won it before it went to a tribunal. My evidence was always enough to qualify for enhanced on both elements since my initial application. Not only did i achieve a pre tribunal overturn (5-8% success rate) but I got them to admit that they disregarded critical evidence for 18 years. They still had the audacity to try and reinstate me on standard allowance. Thinking I would be desperate enough to accept. But being aware of how critical the admission of Maladministration and and having a zero point reassessment overturned pre tribunal, was as evidence. I made a counter offer, I and they knew they had to agree to. The backdate alone is a life changing amount. Because the time limitations clause recently implemented doesn't apply to me. They've also agreed to an out of court compensatory package for damages. That I said anything less than 7 figures will be refused and taken to court. Which would most certainly award me more. So keep fighting the fight don't give up! They'll slip up in the end and you'll have the leverage to make the same demands

It depends on your health and how many points you score on the forms. Everyone is different and no two people are the same with Type1
