Bobbitt pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault and unlawful confinement following a horrific 2011 attack inside a secondhand store in Penticton, British Columbia. He confined and brutally assaulted a 22-year-old mother for 15 hours while her two-year-old son was nearby. He fled afterward but was arrested along Highway 97. In March 2015, Bobbitt was designated a dangerous offender and sentenced to an indefinite prison term. A forensic psychiatrist described him as a sexual sadist with severe psychopathic traits, no empathy and no remorse. His history also includes violent encounters with police, death threats and an alleged 2007 sexual assault involving an intimate partner. Bobbitt remains a high risk for general reoffending and a moderate-to-high risk for sexual recidivism. Since March 2022, he has accumulated 13 disciplinary charges and 15 prison incidents, including death threats against staff.
