yes!!! true crime podcasts have rotted peoples brains. I had so many “rules” for listening bc my subconscious was SCREAMING at me that it was effecting my psyche. haven’t listened in over 6 years and my quality of life is exponentially better. I’m mortified it took me so long.

maybe a hot take but i do find it super odd how society has evolved to use words like ‘grape’ and ‘schmurder’ but a lot of ppl see true crime as white noise to sleep to…not to mention majority of them are women like that is also not safe to be desensitized
