I’m usually terrible at easing back into training, I go too hard, too soon, and feel sad and angry I can’t lift the same weight and spend days being extremely sore. But not this time. I’m treating this as a proper reset. Slowing down, moving with intention, and building back stronger step by step. There’s power in patience, and I’m finally learning that. For a long time, I saw rest and lighter sessions as setbacks, like I was losing progress if I wasn’t lifting heavy or pushing hard. But the truth is, recovery is part of progress. It’s how your body rebuilds, repairs, and comes back stronger. When you ignore that, you’re just burning energy without giving your body the chance to adapt. If you’ve been ill, stressed, or just run down, easing in isn’t weakness, it’s self awareness. Your body isn’t a machine; it needs space to recalibrate. Sometimes that means using lighter weights, taking longer rest periods, or just doing one solid working set instead of four. It all counts. So if you’re coming back after a break, please don’t rush it. Meet your body where it’s at. You can still progress without maxing out every session. The goal isn’t to prove your strength in one workout, it’s to stay consistent enough to keep growing for years to come. Patience is strength too💙 Btw how insanely beautiful is this Cobalt Blue from @Oner Active ?😍 Available in SoftMotion and EnhanceLift now.
