The issue is with allowing to government to dictate what you have to do with your body. By forcing people legally to not get an abortion what’s stopping the government from mandating abortions in the case of rape? It’s the same principle. Another argument is the government doesn’t force people to give blood or donate an organ even if it will save a person’s life so why should the government be allowed to force women to “donate” the functions of their bodies for 9 months (on top of all the health risks that come from pregnancy and birth)?
