I honestly didn’t realize how much basic understanding people lack until I came on TikTok 😂 Some people literally argue with a point that was never even made. The amount of people saying “I spent my money” under this video completely missed the point. Nobody is saying you can’t complain because you spent your money. The point is that you can be honest about your experience without completely destroying a business or giving them no opportunity to rectify what went wrong. Not everybody is going to like everything, and that’s okay. Lamb, for example, is not something everyone in Jamaica is used to eating, so it may simply not be to your taste. That doesn’t automatically mean the food is bad and people really need to understand how damaging this can be, especially in a tourism focused country like Jamaica. I’ve travelled to many countries where the food and experiences weren’t always amazing, but you would never know because people aren’t constantly tearing down their own businesses online. You can give an honest review and still allow a business a chance to do better. What you don’t like might be exactly what someone else loves.

They did the same thing to buzo , TGIF Portmore, and several other new spots. At this point, it feels like some people are more interested in getting a viral moment than giving a fair and constructive review. Unfortunately, positive reviews don’t get the same reactions, views, and engagement as negativity does. A lot of them call themselves food reviewers, but they don’t even have an open palate or know how to properly critique food.
