You know the one I mean… the girls’ trips, spontaneous coffee dates, shopping days, girls’ nights, getting ready together, wandering around a garden centre for absolutely no reason 😂 I’ve watched people do it on YouTube for years and secretly thought, I want that too. Even the Space NK trip recently made me realise how much I crave those experiences — having people to do these little things with, making memories, having a group of girls that just get you. And honestly, this isn’t something that started with motherhood. I’ve never been on a girls’ trip. I’ve only been a bridesmaid once. I’ve never really had that big group of girlfriends who are always there for plans, nights out, coffee dates and everything in between. And I think for a long time I just accepted that maybe that wasn’t my life. But lately I’ve been wondering… why not? Maybe I’m not too old to make new friendships. Maybe I’m not too late. Maybe I can still have those experiences I’ve always watched from the sidelines. So I think this is my little reminder to myself to actually put myself out there. To make the plans. Go for the coffee. Have the girls’ night. Say yes to things. Make new friends.
