@britainafterrain: From Well Court to St Andrew Square | Rainy Edinburgh Streets, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧 There’s something about walking through Edinburgh, Scotland in the rain that makes even an ordinary journey feel memorable. 🌧️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 This time, we begin around Well Court, with its beautiful old stone buildings and that unmistakable Edinburgh character, before making our way towards Castle Street and South St David Street. From there, the journey carries on through Hanover Street, passing the area around Thistle Street Bar, before heading towards North St David Street and the grand surroundings of St Andrew Square. As we move through Edinburgh, the wider streets slowly give way to some of the smaller historic corners that make the city so special. We wander through Anchor Close and Chalmers Close, where the narrow passages, weathered stone walls and rain beneath your feet feel like a completely different side of the city. The route also takes us past Cold Town House, with more familiar Edinburgh streets and views along the way, before continuing around Shawna and back into the heart of the city. From Well Court to Castle Street, South St David Street to Hanover Street, North St David Street to St Andrew Square, and through Anchor Close, Chalmers Close and Cold Town House, this is another little journey through the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland — grey skies above, wet pavements below, and centuries of history all around you. For anyone who knows Edinburgh well, perhaps one of these places brings back a memory.
