The only animal I ever got impulsively with no research was a bearded dragon and I was 18. 😭 Legit asked the pet store guy all I needed, bought it, then took Hagrid (yes I named him Hagrid) home and did MORE research. It takes 2 seconds to Google anything nowadays, I hate people who get animals like they're not living things.

Parents genuinely need to learn to not get your kid an exotic animal or any animal in general until they are Atleast 14-15 and have done Atleast 1year or 5-7 months of research and with that research YOU NEED TO BE A RESPONSIBLE FULLY MATURE PARENT I own 2 rabbits a dog a betta and 2 parakeets and I only have them bc when I was younger I loved animals with my whole life still do I’ve done research about tons of animals since I was 6 I’m now 18 and with that research you need to make sure you have a vet to go to incase of emergencies literally no animal is low maintenance unless u want a pet ROCK A ROCK not even dogs are low maintenance they aren’t you also need to make sure you have the money for their care and some people aren’t fit for an animal

I agree, the only rabbit I bath when I use to breed rabbit was a rabbit that got a medicine bath (vet recommended) once a month and after we sound put him on a heating pad to not make him go into shock. and i would never bath a rabbit for shit and giggles

I don’t understand people who do 0 research once they get a pet. I’m a new bird mom and I did weeks of research before I got both my babies. I’m actively still doing research for my babies because I want the best for them

More people should be getting charges for animal abuse for stuff like this. And they should NOT be able to get another pet if they can’t even search Google beforehand. The amount of abusive situations people are putting animals in on the internet genuinely sickens me. I love my babies and wish I could adopt every single rabbit in the world if it means people like that poster would never get access to these animals
