These adorable ~3 year old Basset Hound mix brothers were found as strays and, shockingly (not), no one came looking for them. The finders were able to keep them for several days before bringing them to the shelter because their own dog wasn’t comfortable with them in the home. She gave me some really helpful information about them, and honestly, these boys sound AMAZING. They’re housebroken, listen well, are extremely sweet, and may be a little hyperactive, but nothing that some exercise and structure can’t help with. They were timid around other dogs at first, but adapted quickly. And these two seemed VERY bonded to them. They said they rarely left each other’s side. When the tan and white one was being taken to the car without the other, the black & white boy whined nonstop until he could hear his brother again. It would be awesome to see them get out together. ❤️ The shelter will allow them to be split up, but let’s try to avoid that. They’re also already neutered shockingly. They do NOT belong spending their days in a kennel on a wet concrete floor. They deserve soft beds, walks, enrichment, good food, vet care, and a family who will keep them safe and loved for the rest of their lives. The shelter is FULL and they become available TOMORROW, 8/21. If you have room for two, please consider keeping these brothers together. Please share these sweet boys.
