not from the Everglades but one time me, my sister, and a few cousins and friends were outside playing in the snow. Me and my sister went on a walk and we came across a house that looked IDENTICAL to ours. We live in the woods, on a short dead-ended road, we know all the houses that were there. Someone came out and yelled at us to leave, but then we went there again in the spring and it was nowhere to be found. Brought it up to my cousins (they've lived there while they were younger, drive golf carts and explored every inch if the property) and they never saw it or even knew what me and my sister were talking about. We havent seen it since and its been over a decade.

Grew up spending summers with my grandparents in the big bend of Florida which is similar to Everglades just further north. A lot of houses out there on small islands in the mangroves, only accessible by boat. They are small but people do live out there, some of them are also really hidden away
