I volunteer in a museum and we once had a lady enquire about a relative and she was trying to find out information about him in our records. She sent us a photograph of a bunch of guys and said in her email “Can you tell me more/find out more about him? I don’t know which one he is in the photo but I know was tall with dark hair”. There were 8 GUYS in the photo, all tall with dark hair. She couldn’t believe that we couldn’t tell her which one he was.

I worked in a pub in Dublin for 6 years and this happened a few times a year. 1). Explaining to Americans they cant use US dollars to pay for things in europe. 2) Miltary discount aren't a thing in shops outside the USA. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

A woman grabbed a gift card and asked me to use it for her payment and then I told her it didn’t work and she had to pay. She grabbed a different one and tried to use that one to pay and I explained to her that you’ve had to pay to get money on the gift card and she didn’t understand that so she just walked out.

I had to tell my sister who was like 25 at the time that babies grew in the uterus and not in our stomachs 😭 she genuinely thought it was in our stomachs, when I told her she said ‘yh but your uterus is so small?!’ I said ‘it expands… and how do you think the baby is surviving in stomach acid? And then coming out your cooch and your ass if it’s in the stomach???’ She was GENUINELY gobsmacked. She already had 1 child and was pregnant with twins 😭😂

My grandma out of nowhere gave me five cups of yogurt, I’m lactose intolerant. When I said as much she told me “There’s no dairy in yogurt” when I explained it literally came from milk, she said “You don’t know that without looking it up” and left. Where eggs come from. To a room full of people in their late twenties and early thirties. None of them knew that chicken eggs need to be fertilized in order to produce a chicken and when I said the word “cloaca” they burst out laughing because they genuinely thought I made it up. They were in disbelief googling and asking chat gpt amazed that I knew 1st grade biology. We worked together and many of them earned a better salary than me.
