I wouldn’t normally ask this but I’m shooting my shot- I have MCAS/POTS(probably under-diagnosed and suspect am actually hyperadrenergic type) with hEDS & I am meeting with Mayo Clinic Neurologist tomorrow & I was going to ask about chromulim sodium (sp) & will add Ketotifen to the list to ask her and team about, is there any other? I’ve gone off everything except migraine in order to rule out meds amplifying fatigue (I stopped propranolol, Tizanidine, and hydroxyzine). If you have any suggestions I’m all ears and TYSM

Ok I’m on day 5 of it and felt regulated and happy for the first time in a lonnnnggg time. So it could be the ketotifen?? This is exciting.

I’ve dosed up to 2 mg and I don’t even notice a difference. I also take liquid cromolyn. Really wish I felt something different from it.

Would you say you had a better result with ketotifen then abilify? I bombed out with abilify and Cromylin gave me severe cramps and everything under the sun.. ketotifen is last stop. Long COVID mcas pots four years. And I’m as bad as you were.

This is really interesting. My daughter takes Zyrtec to manage her itchy/histamine symptoms, but she has so many other symptoms that aren't well managed. Makes me wonder if additional MCAS treatment would be helpful.
