Bro ya’ll in the comments are losing it. Guys, Hange’s gender/sexual identity was left ambiguous on purpose and left to reader interpretation. So Hange can be referred to as He, She, They, and can be gay, lesbian, bi, straight, genderfuild, pansexual, cis, trans, nonbinary, and etc. As well as anyone regardless of gender/sexual identity can like Hange too. If you have a problem with that, then ur fundamentally misunderstanding the whole point of Hange’s character.

Hange to this day is the GOAT of nonbinary representation. I respect people who want to read them as a woman or as another gender, but they really mean the world to me as a nonbinary person. Their character is so beautiful and full of depth, so complete, no matter the gender you read them as if any at all, and if that is not the core essence of what being nonbinary is all about idk what is. I love them dearly to this day 💖
