Gen X checking in…My mom told me-my grandma used to cook chicken livers. And because they were tough, she’d let me chew on them as a baby. Apparently, they’re great for teething. To ensure I didn’t swallow it, she tied a string around it and the other end was tied to my toe. If by chance I swallowed the liver, I would jerk my foot and pull out the liver myself. To sum it all up…I CHEWED ON CHICKEN LIVERS THAT WERE TIED TO MY TOES! I might’ve been ok my whole life without learning this…

Teacher here. I donna recall any kids biting , kicking, punching , spitting and swearing at their teachers. Looks like that parenting style worked a bit better.

But there were no kids around like there are now!!! Nobody was entitled. Our parents didn’t buy everything we wanted. We were responsible at a very young age.

I always say my Boomer parents were like in the peripheral of our lives as kids. They were there, provided for and loved us but other than that my siblings and I were on our own 😂

ahhh the in the back of a pick-up truck days I loved every second of it. I'll also never forget my mom would drive like 10mph with us kids on the hood of the car 😂😂😂

I can remember riding in the back of my uncle’s truck, at 10-12 yrs old, going to town. It would be 2 miles of dirt roads then 10 miles on the hwy. No big deal.
