@makeeverythingshop: Ever seen a drill press like this? This old gear head drill was made in sweden in the 1950s. Gear head drills are great for slow speed drilling in metal. This one in particular has a gear driven power down feed, which is really great for drilling large holes. I’ve been searching for one of these for a long time and am super excited about this one! 500lbs! My first job was operating a machine that looked like the big, BIG brother of this one. The head on it weighed over over a tonne, yet could be swung with one finger. Built in Germany in '36 i think that was.
