That's just one of Teyvat defenses from the abyss, not the entire defense of Teyvat from the abyss, even the shadow realm is still in inside the false sky . And the funny thing is that the reason why Voyager created the shadow realm is because after she possessed a Hyperborean, she was immediately affected by the fate system, and because of that, she created the shadow realm

The Voyager has to do with the formation of the shadow domain but I wouldn't say they created it, if we take implications from Athame Athis story (durin weapon lore), it predates the little witch (the Voyager) arrival and also I believe the castle that the notebook narrator found is the same as the castle in Athame Athis, it is probably a timeline reset checkpoint of sorts.

let me clear some things up not all dragons Sovereigns fought along side nebulong since 3-5 were dead example the anemo dragons are extinct by that point only Pyro dragons were confirmed to be fighting thats why we only see their technology next the dragons are shown to have multiple ways of dealing with the abyss example Pyro Sovereign created a weapon to end all of tayvat including the abyss the primordial sea cant be corrupted by the abyss as we see with the narwal
