calling it poverty mindset is over simplification! it can be a result of someone's childhood, our cultural dispositions..... why do you think the majority of people in the world are relatively poor? its one thing understanding economics and another ...forgetting that we are human beings that have not been using money for the biggest part of our human history!

We have seen many people, including the wealthy people you are talking about, go through financial hardship at some point in their lives. We have also seen people who were born into wealthy families eventually become poor. Life is unpredictable, and circumstances can change at any time. So when it comes to making money and building wealth, let’s not speak as though we know exactly how everyone’s future will unfold. You don’t have to sound like a motivational speaker sometimes, reality is simply more complicated than that.

he talks about people who keep things,even when they buy new stuff. there is a difference between keeping things because they might run out(poverty) which is financial trauma and hoarding which is driven by emotional attachment, executive dysfunction and neorobiology. those things are totally different even when they seem to look alike.
