If Lindsey Clancy is found not guilty by reason of insanity, and evidence later exists that is sufficient to implicate Patrick Clancy in the children’s deaths, could prosecutors legally investigate and charge Patrick in a separate case? Would Lindsey’s verdict have any effect on whether Patrick could be prosecuted?

There is reasonable doubt…..I don’t care if you are an attorney! They still have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she actually committed the murders!

Sorry longer opinion! I believed Lindsey did it until I WATCHED the trial. Now I believe there's way too much reasonable doubt. The defense has challenged witness after witness—even the medical experts—and the timeline, Apple Watch/email evidence, vehicle statements, forensic evidence and Lindsey's condition don't add up to me.
My THEORY—not proven fact—is that the timeline could be completely different. I question whether things could've started before Patrick left, creating more time than the prosecution's timeline suggests. If someone else was involved and helped with errands, that could've created additional time for someone to return home and finish what had already started. And if Lindsey was sedated, impaired and isolated in the bedroom as described, I question what she would've actually known or remembered about what was happening elsewhere in the house.
Lindsey reportedly asked multiple people for help and contacted a suicide hotline, yet was still left home with three kids while mentally struggling.
And I don't care if you're an attorney—attorneys can be wrong. This defense attorney has decades of experience and clearly knows what he's doing.
Patrick could also be investigated and potentially charged separately IF credible evidence ever supported it. That would be an entirely different case—which, as an attorney, you obviously should know.
I started out believing Lindsey was guilty. THE EVIDENCE changed my mind. There are simply too many holes for me to ignore.

This isn’t true, they wouldn’t let them bifurcate the trial, so they have to determine if she is guilty and then if it was or was not due to Post Psychosis

Can the jury say we don’t believe she actually did it at all and find her not guilty is that even possible?

I think he drugged her to think she did it. I think they accidentally plead because maybe they thought it truly was her.

If she can’t remember, then how does she know she did this being in the state of mind she was in? Bc of the “voices” she heard? Or from what others have told her that make her think she did?

I think Patrick was giving her these meds and while she was in them she was telling her to do these things (as in unalive herself and the kids) he is the one that told her she did this. Way too many things point to him period.

and that is what is sad …the fact that he was never even looked at bc she said she did it . which is mind blowing bc how credible is a women in psychotic episode admitting to something ? there are too many things that don’t make sense to me and shouldn’t make sense to the jury or police .

But how does she know that she did it if she was hearing voices or if she was drugged. There’s a lot of things that don’t add up in this case.

That is not true. The state has to prove she did it. She can be found not guilty !!!! The misinformation is crazy. It’s not hard to listen to the judges opening statement on day 1.

In MA a not guilty plea is procedurally separate from raising an affirmative defense. She entered a standard not guilty plea and raised an affirmative defense of lack of criminal responsibility. The Commonwealth has the burden to prove both the elements of the crime and criminal responsibility.
