before this comes out, i just want to say thank you. from the bottom of my heart. no matter how it does, the journey that this cover has taken me on in the past few weeks has genuinely turned my life around. a month ago i was feeling super down and had no idea what my next move was. it’s interesting because some of the recording is from the original recording back in 2023. a time where my life was totally different. for starters my dad was still with us and now with him not being here, this song feels deeply relatable for me and it meant i was able to record the rest of the song with a fresh perspective and for me that’s beautiful. it’s kinda cool and fitting for the sentiment of the song to have vocals from two different perspectives like that. kinda amazing actually now that im typing it out. anyway, i really hope you like it. lastly, I have an album coming out on September 4th and would love for you to stick around and listen to that when it’s out :) love you guys! thank you :)

I don’t know you Sam, but at the same time it feels like I do. Your authenticity is what differs you from most artists. You feel relateable. Warm.
