I think there’s enough tape on Mason that in the event they feel like he can be traded, they don’t need him going out and risking injury. I believe that’s the thought process. If Howard balls out, he’s the 2 and Allar is the 3. If he’s average, Mason is 2, Howard is 3 and Allar goes on LTIR so he and Howard can battle for 1&2 next year.

I hope he’s trying to trade him. That’s why he’s doing this cause it makes no sense to keep them. If Aaron Rodgers goes down in the playoffs. I have absolutely no faith in Mason Rudolph. He’s done more damage here and positive things stole money for eight seasons, as far as I’m concerned.

If Rodgers goes down, there is no roadmap to win with Rudolph. The potential in Allar/Howard is greater than the mediocrity of Rudolph. I’d rather lose with Allar/Howard than lose with Rudolph

Yes QB2.. the sooner Steeler fans can accept this the sooner we can move on with this season. Everyone who has been at the practices say Mason is easy QB2. Howard has to play exceptionally good in order for McCarthy to keep 4 QBs. He will be the odd man out. I don’t like it, but such is life

Absolutely, Mason at qb2 gives him a vet who can take over and keep the season alive if rogers goes down. Hes a known quantity. I think the question is if he keeps Allar and Howard.

Mason has never been good. There’s no point in keeping him. Have a mini qb competition to see who is actually qb2, then next year another to see who will win the starting qb role between Allar and Howard. If Tomlin were still coach we’d be signing Philip Rivers next year 🤣

I think he’s seen what he needs to see from mason, there for I think that’s why he wants the younger guys in this game to play and show what they can do and how they can improve the performance of the team on the field, I also think mason has potential played his last snap as a Steeler

unfortunately yes Mason is the qb2 BUTTT that’s just because Mason has been there so long ..at this point they kinda have to have ONLY seeing Will and Drew once.. I do think IF Will and Drew SHOW up on that field the next 2 games it might be a different story! There still time for them to show one of them can be qb2! Mason contract is up next year .. Mike HAS to think about our future! like I truly think Mike isn’t dumb and isn’t seeing what we been seeing for the past years..

I think it’s because we already know what mason can and cannot do. We already know hes not a starter in the league I think he wants to see if they’re better than mason. Theres no sense in playing mason hes been mid since he came in the league. Get rid of mason and keep the two young guys
