Pretty much every company is putting this in their “terms and conditions” now. Apparently it’s completely legal because of the Federal Arbitration Act of 1925. Even if arbitration itself is legal, it should be illegal for companies to force arbitration in order to use their services. Arbitration should be between two humans and not with a company (if at all).

Is that kinda like a deadman’s switch. By saying “if you use any Amazon service you agree” but if you’re not using Amazon services then you wouldn’t be suing them anyway. Additionally how does this apply to AWS services because like, we are quite literally forced to use those for work, and pleasure since multiple sites rely on aws. Does that apply to us then
