Thank you Jo Snape’s version for another beautifully curated piece of art. Definitely worth the wait. From the backgrounds to the animation itself. The song Run Rabbit very much matches the situation and dilemma Snape had and can relate to him as a character. This is seen with younger Snape who seems to be frantically running away from his problems, which is seen with Lily being in the background. And him not being able to fix their friendship as well as his own personal issues with wanting to be a death eater. And when the scene changes to his current older self, Snape is now seen walking in a more calm manner and a face that shows how much he’s faced and grown since he was a teen. This also can be seen with the change of color in older Snape’s background which becomes a darker and duller color compared to younger Snape. This could mean that the paper is rotting and that he has grown older as Lily is also no longer shown in the back. When both Snape starts running around in the “run rabbit” part younger Snape is shown to still be frantic and running from his problems while older Snape is just casually walking behind him. As to show that he has grown as a person and is no longer that rabbit the marauders used to chase around. This is seen in the last part when younger Snape turns into a black rabbit and the animagus forms of the marauders start chasing him around. Showing Snape’s growth and that he himself is no longer that rabbit that has to run anymore. Thank you Jo for this art it was worth all the wait.
