@wired: Everyone knows the party scene in LA is iconic. But for a bunch of very young entrepreneurs, it’s also turning into big business. Jack Schwartz is the 21-year-old founder of MyPlots, a party promotion and ticketing app he launched after throwing epic high school ragers, starting at the age of 14. Associates of Schwartz liken him to The Great Gatsby, if Gatsby had used Instagram and Snap to sell tickets. Schwartz says MyPlots had a successful "after prom" tour last year and that the app has over 1 million users. Now he's moving more into booking artists—and hoping to capture a wider audience.
