Omg yes. I knew CL before I knew what Kpop was, the same for psy. Kpop was already known before BTS. People also forget that bts had the privilege of social media which pushed them more. But that kpop groups and artists were still known in the west before the whole social media thing is more of an achievement then bts ever will have.
