Most mechanics can’t even work on electric.. I see your point with the gas but with everything else, if my car breaks down I can fix it or take it to any reliable mechanic but with electric you’ll most likely have to take it to the dealers then they’re mechanics will mess up your car n will rack up parts. Plus I’d rather pay the $50 then pay $30 plus having to wait an hour…
