@thepimom: This is a very sad day for Carolina Beach Boatyard. I requested the records for the dry-stack structures, permitting, inspections, site-plan compliance, and enforcement at 914 St. Joseph Street. Jeremy Hardison, Director of Community Development, responded that the file previously produced is what the Town has. I went looking for the documentation I expected to see — permits, approvals, engineered site-plan records, inspections, anything showing how these structures were authorized. I can’t find it in the file I was given. That doesn’t prove a document never existed. It means the Town says this is the complete file, and I’m not seeing the records that would answer these questions. And during hurricane season, that matters. Carolina Beach is under New Hanover County they SHOULD have permits So they are responsible too but mostly likely they don't have them either ,keep going PI Mom

City inspectors are Johnny on the spot if you add a porch or deck to an existitng home with minimum railing post distances to make sure a child's head cant get caught, but no flood plane plans, drainaige for all of that?
