After becoming a mum, everything else seemed so insignificant, especially work. I’m supposed to leave my baby with strangers in an unfamiliar setting to go to a job because we can’t survive financially otherwise? Every instinct is pulling me towards my baby. Sometimes people look at me like I have two heads when I say how hard I’m finding it, leaving our babies has become so normalised. I keep being told “it’s good for both of you, he’ll love nursery”, but it’s really hard to see the good in being forced apart when neither of us is ready, especially when he cries his heart out as I leave him to go to work 😢

I feel this to my core!!!! I pray for all the women that can relate to this. It’s the most heartbreaking situation. I want to raise my baby and be there for all the moments and not just bedtime and a rushed morning😭

I’ve been back to work for 3 weeks now, and it’s honestly the hardest thing I’ve done having to leave my bubba each morning. I’ll see Mumma’s with their babies and feel happy for them but also have an overwhelming sadness that it’s not me with mine
