@paulybrando: This scene right here tells you a lot about Adonis. The guy calls him “good looking, baby,” and Adonis immediately shuts it down: “Don’t call me that.” Then the guy tries to play it off like, “Hey, I was just showing you some love. I didn't mean to come off like that.” But then comes the line about the VIP pass for talking to his pops. And that's basically a warning. He's telling Adonis that because he's Apollo Creed's son, he's getting special treatment right now — but keep talking reckless and that VIP pass might turn into a one way ticket to getting your ass kicked. 😂🥊 What I love about this scene is that Adonis doesn't need to scream or act tough. He's confident enough to let the other guy know exactly where the line is. And that's Adonis throughout Creed. He's carrying one of the biggest names in boxing history, but he refuses to let anybody treat him like he's just Apollo Creed's son. He wants his own identity. His own respect. His own legacy. And that's what makes Michael B. Jordan so good in this role. You can see the confidence, but you can also see the insecurity underneath it because Adonis is constantly trying to prove that he belongs.
