I was homeless living in a car. finally said enough was enough. worked 2 jobs. then got into trade school full-time for welding plus working full-time. and now im a welder/fitter making 30 an hour. 8 months ago I was making 17 bucks an hour. grind and ambition and dreams do come true. only if you work hard for it

I was homeless. Car-less. Slept under the table outside work. I wasn’t a good person. Then, I had my kids. My struggle means nothing compared to them striving.

I feel this one hard. I was homeless a long long time ago, but I never despaired. Not due to some crazy will or sense that everything would be okay, but outta blind stupidity. Still, I consider those days some of my most formative. Granted me great insight into "the bottom".

Smartest man I ever met was back in 1992, homeless, one leg, lost his wife to cancer, he was an attorney, lost his job. I’m an artist, poet, musician. He told me what you think is important has no value. Those things you took for granted, wife, children, home, car, even those things have little value. What is important is YOU because if you do not take care of yourself you will lose all you love. Never taking care of your health while being at your sick wife’s bedside so that You can be her strength. At your children’s side comforting them so that they know their mother is here too and helping them with homework, lessons and life’s issues. If you don’t take care of you…then you risk all you adore. Keep fighting my brothers. The trials never stop, neither should you.
