First of all, I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I can only imagine the depth of the pain your family has felt through such an unimaginable loss. But you are absolutely right, our hope is in the Lord. And there is such comfort in knowing that He is taking care of your son until the day you are able to see him again. ❤️I also completely agree that our hope and our identity have to be rooted in the Lord first, before anything else. Sometimes I think about what would be left if we stripped away all of the things we use to describe ourselves. If I strip away being a mom, if I strip away being a wife, if I strip away my job, my accomplishments, and even the things I love to do in this life, who am I? I am still a child of God. That is the one identity that can never be taken from me. It is my foundation. Everything else in this life can change, and so much of it is temporary, but who I am in Christ is eternal. At the end of the day, that is what matters most. 🙌🏻✝️💕

I lost my son in 2016 and went through so many trials and tribulations and remained positive as far as people could see on the outside - but falling apart on the inside - and still have those moments - but keep pushing forward and remain positive is hard but FAITH, GRACE and LOVE conquers all - people would make so many comments as to if I were smiling laughing or having a good time - we’re like oh I could never smile laugh or have a good time if I lost a child - which makes it so hard to remain positive but THANK GOD; I held my ground and Know GOD had me no matter what - Christians have bad days good days and days that are unknown but I never lost my faith - and prayed EVERYDAY - and still do because it never gets easier - you just have to know GOD has you! We are human and NOT PERFECT - LOVE you and your family and y’all have been in my prayers every day since I heard of that! Thank you for sharing your story and helping so many people - GOD BLESS YOU and YOUR BEAUTiFUL FAMILY😘🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰

I just finished reading your wife's book " girl on the bathroom floor" it was beautifully written and gave me some comfort and hope. we lost our 5 year old son on 5/25/26. he came home with a cough on 5/18 from school and it went downhill from there. He would have turned 6 on 8/18. my husband got saved by the chaplain in vcu hospital. I know God has a plan but the pain is so hard to breathe through most days. thank you to you and your wife for sharing your stories. I have your book as well and will be starting that one soon.

Thank God we grieve with hope. Because how sad and depressing would it be if this was it? I lost my heart warrior 6/2 she was just shy of 8 months old. It is a pain unlike anything but thank you God I will see her again and this life is temporary.
