Im in my 21st year, and I have a PSA for new teachers...Ive seen a lot of well meaning teachers lose their careers for dumb reasons. Posting pics from baseball games when they had taken a sick days, for example. All it takes is one parent complaint and your career is over. Admin will always side with the parent

I’m truly just confused on how they are getting away with it. Growing up, my teachers needed us to sign a waiver to be in their recordings for college or training purposes. Like do they have the class take home a permission slip to be on TikTok, and briefly send out anyone who didn’t get one signed? Or are they just… actively breaking the law? I thought it was super illegal to post someone’s child online without parental consent

especially when they video themselves doing a "clapback" to middle schoolers who clearly have stunted emotional intelligence just so we can hear the class laugh at them or freak out that their teacher uses their slang

What grade could that possibly be talking about? I'm a student and I own a dvd player😭 also, people DO need to stop making so much content off of their students, especially if they're showing students faces and the students aren't even old enough to be on the internet

I was a teacher prior (not anymore because stress and lack of living wage) however filming students is absolutely vile to do and even worse to post them online…. Like you are there to teach them not make content for strangers to see when you are supposed to be protecting a vulnerable person from harm it’s not at all developmentally appropriate to even introduce a child to tech under 3 and over that age it’s still unnecessary

isnt that why you become a teacher now a days? why would it be like the traditional reasoning that you think like yeah bringing up the next generation is cool in concept but the job sucks, the kids are mean, the pay sucks, and as far as my state is the number of teachers is going down to the point were we lowered the requirements to be the teacher. So i ask you who wants to be a teacher other than people like put in an unfortunate position
