The fact of the matter is you’re paying to have the gospel preached to you. $60 is bad enough but $200 for a chance to speak to a pastor is insane. Have you ever considered that the same Christian musicians that do it are also in the wrong. Evangelical Christianity is built around celebrity pastor culture.

I thought about it, at first it sounded reasonable since he has to pay for venues and staff. It’s also being funded out of his own pocket but then it made me think. Why would he do that when he could just use the funding from the church or his podcast and still charge people $60. But then he has a VIP section charging people $200. That’s the part that got me a little confused.

The money he gets from his church is separate from his podcast which is NOT funded.
