It’s true using a stat Pcard they can’t tip using that. However, they should have tipped themselves or figured out something else to do about it.

Why wasn’t the gratuity automatically added?? For a table of 40 that should have been added. I’d talk to management about that cuz every restaurant I’ve ever been to and or worked at a table of 10 or more it’s automatically added. Why doesn’t your restaurant do the same?

I’ve used a lot of company credit cards. You absolutely can tip on them although it’s usually no more than 20%.

As an ISU employee, I would never in a million years NOT bring cash to tip at a restaurant, if my department had us use a pcard to pay. That is inexcusable👎🏼👎🏼

I'm a government employee in california. We can't tip if we're paying for a meal. On a government county issued credit card. However, human decency would dictate that I would reach into my pocket. And put a tip, either cash or on a personal card

anytime idaho state university has visited my work for athletes, or any other event, i have never been tipped either. like $200 + checks as well. it’s insane, i’m sorry this happened to you

This is correct when using a state of Idaho purchase card. I really question whether an not they should have been using the card for this, but even if it was approved, they should’ve each stepped out of their own pocket.

This happened to me when I was a barista. Grace Lutheran brought their kids down before summer. The whole school came with no heads up and their end total was about $500 with all their drinks and they told us they couldn’t tip because of the card 😵💫
