i will make a decent background with the x-men later! . . . . . . What if Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is actually going to fight the X-Men in Avengers: Secret Wars? There’s a theory that Tobey could return not just as a cameo, but as one of the main heroes representing his universe during the Incursions. If Secret Wars follows the idea of different universes colliding and being destroyed, it would make perfect sense for characters from completely different realities to be forced into conflict with each other. And Tobey’s Spider-Man is one of the most recognizable characters Marvel could bring back for something like this. Imagine his universe being caught in an Incursion, with Tobey’s Peter being one of the only remaining heroes trying to survive while another universe begins colliding with his. Now imagine that the universe on the other side is the home of the X-Men. Instead of immediately teaming up, the two sides could initially see each other as a threat, leading to an actual fight between Tobey’s Spider-Man and the X-Men. This would also give Tobey a much bigger role than simply appearing for a few minutes, especially because his Spider-Man already has years of history and emotional weight behind him. We’ve already seen Marvel bring back Tobey alongside Andrew Garfield in No Way Home, so bringing him back again for Secret Wars would be the perfect way to establish that his story is far from over. And if Marvel really wants Secret Wars to feel like the ultimate collision of Marvel’s different universes, having Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man fight against the X-Men before eventually joining forces with them would be absolutely insane. The idea of Tobey being the last hero standing in his universe, only to be forced into a battle against an entire team of mutants from another reality, could make his return one of the biggest moments in the entire movie. #SpiderMan #TobeyMaguire #Marvel #MCU #SecretWars - @nexus.drawings
