This will probably get burried. But I just wanna let people know a few things about this situation. Firstly: The American Southwest and northern Mexico as a region are actually prone to decade century or even millennia long mega droughts. Secondly: When the dam was built we were still in a historical period of elevated rainfall and moisture in this region, and thanks to climate change it would seem that the historic wet period has come to an end. It is very likely that the water in lake Powell is never coming back, and it is probably going to get even drier in this region.
