Once we were on the plane, he started trying to get other passengers to switch seats with him—and the situation escalated. ✈️ He was yelling loudly, everyone around us was uncomfortable, and the flight attendants were left trying to handle the situation. Ultimately, the family elected to get off the plane. It came up during our conversation with Ceci because, as a former airline employee, she says the gate agent is the person to ask about seat changes BEFORE you board. And if sitting together is essential for your family, Ceci’s advice is simple: select your seats at booking or check-in whenever possible. A gate agent may be able to reshuffle things, but there are no guarantees.
